Hello, thanks for visiting by my website. My name is Terri Tauzin, H.S.E. I am the Owner/Operator of Cajun Somatics here in Acadiana. I am well trained in the ways of Thomas Hanna, PhD., Developer of Somatology and Author of Several Books. 

Thomas studied the Central Nervous System as Hanna Somatics is based on conventional neurophysiology. He found the most effective, LONGEST LASTING way to ACTIVELY release tension in the human body. Over time, I became a huge fan!

For 9 years, I owned and operated a FedEx Route here in Acadiana. I dealt with chronic pain in my neck, trap muscles, and frozen shoulder not to mention excruciating sciatic pain which effected my sleep and my good life. A friend suggested that I give Somatics a whirl. Finally, I had discovered something that works!

Impressed by my success and his technique, I became a student at the Novato Institute of Somatic Research and Training to become a Hanna Somatic Educator (H.S.E.) for a 2.5 year curriculum. I bring this effective discipline home to practice somatics in the greater Lafayette area. I love Acadiana. 

I love that Somatics can quickly eliminate patterns of tension using gentle and easy movements to consciously register body sensations. This active release cuts off the signal from the brain keeping muscles tight called Sensory Motor Amnesia (SMA).
